I think more people get killed on the highway from cars pulling out in front of them than from motocross racing, but I don't race so I wouldn't know.

Don't worry, I have a lot of respect for how dangerous bikes are. It's reinforced when you see friends end up in the hospital from them. Although it was a few years ago now, I took a motorcycle driver safty course thinking it would help.

This won't be my main means of transportation. It's just a fun toy for casual sight seeing cruises.

Na, not going to be my main means of transportation. Just a fun cruising toy when I'm not working. Traffic here is just too insane to use it to commute. I'll end up as road pizza. Besides, I have to put premium fuel into it so it's not as cheap as you might think. ;)

ZOMG! Beammers are really nice riding bikes. I hope you have alot of fun on it, and go for alot of nice rides. I known many to go cross country on there BMW's and tell me howl comfortable it is. But i got to ask on thing. Can the husky ride bitch? *tailwags and gives you big puppy dog eyes*

hehemy honda shoadow isnt that comfortable on the really long rides... ass gets sore :P

I took the motorcycle safty course on a Honda Shadow years ago and it was a fun bike but had no idea what it was like for distance. Comfy ride is important though, yes. My last bike was a Yamaha and your butt was really sore after a few hours on it. hehe

I'm hoping that because this is a higher end touring bike that I'll do better on the longer runs. ;)

Guess you'll have to upgrade your bike sometime. hehe
